A one-day training course which covers MySQL concurrency control (locking, transactions, deadlocks), followed by an overview of available storage engines in MySQL, their characteristics, basic tuning options and recommendations, selection criteria and counter-indications.

This course day provides essential fundamentals for MySQL Developers and DBAs, as well as for professionals experienced with other databases. This day is also excellent after attending the MySQL Optimisation by Design module (generally scheduled adjacently).
