Open Query Partners

Open Query and server monitoring provider Tribily have entered into a strategic partnership. Under the agreement of this partnership clients that enter into a ProActive Support contract with OpenQuery, will be provided with free server monitoring by Tribily for their entire database infrastructure in order to ensure optimal workings and provide trend analysis and automated issue alerting capabilities. Bulletproof Networks, based in Sydney Australia, offers MySQL Server Hosting with pre-installed and pre-optimised servers ready for use with a minimum of developer fuss and sys-admin skills. For this Bulletproof has partnered with Open Query. We pre-install MariaDB or our optimised OurDelta build of MySQL, with enhanced performance, maintenance and troubleshooting functionality.

Our joint client Movember.com has been using this arrangement for the last few years, plus our ProActive Support services throughout the yearly development and live period.

Open Query is an early member of the Open Database Alliance, a vendor-neutral consortium designed to become the industry hub for both the open source MySQL Database Server and a branch of it named MariaDB, developed by the community and Monty Program.

The Pythian Group, founded in Canada by Paul Vallee and active around the world providing (similar to OQ) fractional database infrastructure teams on a linear cost-to-effort basis. Open Query focuses on training and proactive DBA/Support preventing emergencies, whereas the Pythian Group offering starts at a higher number of hours/month and includes emergency services.
